You might want to jump into the new RTB boxing class because it seems participating in interval boxing training is more beneficial than steady state cardio. Participants tend to be more committed and put forward more effort when doing a boxing interval workout, which leads to greater improvements in nearly all health related markers (PMID: 25973207).
There are plenty of ways to make progress towards your goals, so you still might not be convinced.
